Make a Sadaqah with Aide Fisabilillah; it means supporting sustainable projects that bring real change to the lives of the most vulnerable.
The International Day of Persons with Disabilities, celebrated annually on December 3rd, took on a special dimension this year in Kédougou. This event, aimed at raising public awareness about the rights and challenges of persons with disabilities, brought together not only local stakeholders but also national organizations. FRAH, the Front for Solidarity, marked the occasion with a powerful message: inclusion and empowerment are absolute priorities. Through its commitment, FRAH calls for collective mobilization to ensure that persons with disabilities are not only recognized but valued in all spheres of society. During the activities held in Kédougou, FRAH focused on the specific challenges of rural communities. The issues are numerous, from limited access to adequate infrastructure to insufficient medical services. In its address, FRAH stressed the importance of strengthening local initiatives and investing in concrete projects: access ramps, inclusive training centers, and support mechanisms. According to FRAH, these actions are essential to improving the quality of life for persons with disabilities, who are often marginalized in these areas. In conclusion, FRAH emphasized that the International Day of Persons with Disabilities should not be just a celebration but a moment for reflection and action. The Front for Solidarity reaffirmed its commitment to work with local authorities and national partners to build a more inclusive society. In Kédougou, this day was proof that change is possible when all stakeholders unite for a common cause: dignity and equality for all.
